Our Apartment

Frankford Christmas 2008.

Longwood Gardens

We visited Longwood Gardens around Thanksgiving time with other Senior Missionary couples. It's about an hour from our home. Very lovely as you can see. Inside the atrium are more flowers and hanging baskets and Christmas decorations.

Birthday flowers

These are the flowers Clark and Shanna sent me for my birthday. Thank you both. They are lovely.

Here are the flowers Tracy and Caroline sent me for my birthday. Thanks so much. I felt so special to be remembered with flowers. (The Lenox Clock is a gift from Elder Kesler. Thanks to those who remembered me with phone calls. My family is the best. Love Sister Kesler

Our New Blog Site

Hi Family, We have joined most of our children, & some of our grandchildren with a Blog. Here's a picture of my birthday cake. The four Elders surprised me. Elder Kesler picked them up,
at their apartment, and brought them in downstairs. They came up from the basement singing Happy Birthday Sister Kesler. It was a Happy Day. (However, nothing could exceed my happiness on my last birthday when we were all together at the 5 All's).

Elder Kesler drove me to my favorite mall (King of Prussia) and we ate at Legal Seafood. We both had Fish and Chips. They have really good seafood on the East coast. We met Krystal and her friend Ingrid who came over that morning from State College. I shopped for a while longer. Dad exchanged a wallet I gave him for Christmas. I bought a sweater. Dad bought me dishes and glasses for my birthday. We didn't quite stay up until midnight, but as I went to bed, I heard guns and fireworks going off for maybe half an hour. The Elders said people in their eighborhood opened their doors and shot off guns (up in the air). Scary!

Sunday is transfers for our Elders, so probably 2 in the above picture will be transferred. Left and 2nd from right. We will miss them. We still keep in touch with the two that were here when we came. Will write more later. Have a Happy New Year. Love Elder and Sister Kesler
